13 ways to entertain your kids without screens

If you're feeling guilty about the amount of time your kids spend in front of the TV, here are 13 ways to entertain your kids without screens.

Before we start, it's important to point out that this is a judgement-free zone. Yes, it's not ideal to have your child regularly glued to a tablet, phone, or TV, but sometimes needs must when life gets in the way and you need to keep the kids occupied for a few hours.

Recommendations for screen time limits are zero time for children under 18 months, extremely limited time for kids aged 18 to 24 months, no more than 1 hour a day for those aged between 2 and 5, and then parental discretion for kids aged 6 and over.

Independent play is an important part of their development and while screen time every now and then won't hurt them, the less the better.
